An Outline For Equanimity?

Dearest Meditation Practitioners,

Thank you to everyone who has had a chance to introduce yourselves. For those of you who are new to the site; We wish you a warm welcome!
Today, I would like to give you a little information about starting, or restarting your meditation Sadhana.
When I ask people what gets in the way of having a consistent practice, it is the same thing that gets in the way of all commitments: time, space and/or a lack of self-discipline. By sharing in this experience together, we have created a community and network of support, which will be important as we face the challenges and excuses that lay ahead. There is strength in numbers.
Meditation is deceptively challenging in it's approach because it is all about slowing down. By slowing down the mind, we can observe and witness our thoughts. In slowing down thoughts, we create and expand our inner space, making us more effective mentally, emotionally and physically.
Each of you may have a particular time of day that works best for your schedule. I personally love doing an early morning practice. It gives me a strong foundation to meet each day. My husband and child usually sleep until 7:30am, so getting up at 6:45am gives me plenty of time. I wake, drink water or tea and silently light a candle and meditate.
I suggest breath meditation to start, as the breath is a simple and visceral element, making it easy to maintain focus.
Below you will find a few free videos that might be helpful. Because they are short in length, you can start off your meditations guided by the links below and then float into a meditative silence:

*Additionally, for those of you who are seasoned practitioners, I welcome you to share your favorite way to meditate in the comments section.
